What is in the Water Stain Remover?
A-MAZ Water Stain Remover is a biodegradable, non-toxic cleaning paste. It contains no acids, no bleach, no chlorides and no gritty pumice. Because it is a paste rather than a liquid, it stays where you put it and penetrates mineral deposits instead of running off.
Is it safe to use without gloves or a mask?
Yes. It can be used in a closed bathroom with no ventilation, gloves or mask. It is also septic-safe.
What surfaces can I use it on?
Glass, metal and ceramics: shower doors and bath enclosures, windows, windshields, fiberglass, porcelain, tile and grout, sinks, toilets and fixtures, brass, copper, stainless steel and other plated metals, stovetops, ovens, grills and pool tile. These surfaces vary in hardness, so test an inconspicuous spot first, and work with the grain on stainless steel. Keep it off painted car surfaces.
Will it remove etching?
No. The remover lifts mineral deposits off the surface of glass. Etching is permanent damage to the glass itself and cannot be reversed by any cleaner. Our guide to telling water stains from etching has a two-minute test.
What does the Ultra Gloss Sealant do?
It is a silicone and carnauba formula that fills the microscopic pores in glass, tile, porcelain and fiberglass so water spots, mineral stains, soap scum, mold and mildew have nothing to hold on to. It is safe on glass, mirrors, fiberglass and fixtures. One drop covers 8 to 9 square inches. It lasts about 6 to 9 months on a shower door, 6 months on a toilet bowl and about a year on windows. Do not seal the floor of a tub or shower; it makes the surface slippery.
Will the pads scratch glass?
No. The Gripper Pad and the Scrubber Pad are made from recycled polyester and are designed for glass, porcelain and ceramic. Do not use the green side of a kitchen sponge, which is hard plastic and will scratch.
