General Questions

Can I buy all of your items at your dealer’s stores?
No, not all our products are sold at all our dealers. We suggest you encourage your local store/dealers to stock our entire line to take advantage of our excellent products.

Water Stain Remover

What if the hard water does not come off the glass?
This will indicate the problem goes beyond simple mineral build-up. You most likely have etched the glass, which is not good.

What products does the AMAZ water stain remover work on?
Glass, Metals, and Ceramics. This is a very broad group of surfaces and they can vary in hardness and sensitivity. It is highly recommended that you always start your project with a test on an inconspicuous area to insure the Water Stain Remover does not scratch the surface. This is true for any surface cleaner.

All Purpose Cleaner

What are the dilution schedules for different cleaning needs?
The dilution rate varies for each application. The general use ratio is 10 to 1 (for each 10 ounces of water, use 1 ounce of the All Purpose Cleaner). When I am trying to cut heavy grease, I like a 5 to 1 ratio. Around the kitchen, I like a 20 to 1 ratio. The advantage of using the A-MAZ All Purpose Cleaner is the strength of the product (SUPER Concentrate).

Glass and Mirror Cleaner

Do you sell at concentrate?
NO. The reason is that most people do not have access to de-ionized water. It is a critical component to the performance of the product. For those companies who have a de-ionized system, we will sell the concentrate in bulk.

Will the Glass and Mirror Cleaner streak?
No. We guarantee it will not. It is important to use the product sparingly and with a micro fiber towel for the very best results.

Will the G&M break down the Sealant?
No. There are no ingredients in the Glass and Mirror that will attack or break down the A-MAZ Sealant. That is why we recommend our Glass and Mirror Cleaner.

Micro Fiber Towels

Does the Micro Fiber Towel wash well?
Yes, but do not wash with fabric softeners. The fabric softeners will ruin the towel.

Why does it (MFT) clean so much better?
Polyester has an attraction to oil, so that oil and grease adhere directly to the fibers. Polyamide is hydrophilic, which means it has an attraction to water. As a result, any type of dirt is very quickly and completely removed with microfiber leaving a clean surface without streaking, smearing, or scratching. Ordinary cleaning towels move or push dirt and dust from one place to another and have the potential to leave lint behind. Microfiber actually lifts or scoops the dirt and stores the dirt particles in the towel, until it is washed. The increased surface area of microfiber allows it to capture and retain more dirt particles. Microfiber can also absorb up to seven times its weight in fluids and is extremely durable. Ergonomically, microfiber flat mops are smaller and lighter (roughly three pounds when wet) than traditional string mops (between eight and 10 pounds when wet) and can be easily carried on carts and changed when needed. When using microfiber flat mops pushing and lifting is less and they have proven to reduce worker injury.

What is Microfiber and what is it made of?
Microfiber is a synthetic fiber that consists of a very fine blend of polyester and polyamide (nylon) threads. The threads are blended, woven and chemically split into microscopic fibers that when examined under a microscope appears in the shape of a star. These split fibers create a surface area 40 times greater than that of a regular fiber.

Scrub Pads

Gripper or Scrub Pad – Are you sure it won’t scratch glass?
Yes. Our scrub pad is made of recycled plastic bottles reducing the hardness of the plastic. Again, test the scrub pad in an inconspicuous area before using to insure the surface can handle the abrasion.

Can’t I use the green side of the sponge?
I would not recommend it unless it is a Sponge and not a scrub pad made of hard plastic.

What can I use the scrub pad on and what can I not use it on?
We recommend you use it on hard surfaces like Glass, Metal, and Ceramics. Any other surface would most likely scratch. Again, we have had people tell us they use our Scrub Pad on a multitude of surfaces, but we recommend testing first, to insure the surface can handle the abrasive.

Sealant

How often should I apply the sealant?
As often as necessary. We recommend applying the Sealant after cleaning the surface with the Water Stain Remover. This will insure the best results.

How long will it last on windows, shower doors, and toilet bowls?
It really depends on the surface and the amount of chemicals in the water or wear and tear on the surface. As a general rule, the Sealant will last 6-9 months on a shower door, 6 months on a toilet bowl surface, and 1 year on windows.
